What's the difference?

Oil Paints are slow drying, which means that you have plenty of time to make adjustments to your painting.  They dry exactly the same colour as when wet. I recommend using water mixable oils which do  not smell and your brushes and palette can be cleaned with  water.

Acrylics make a good alternative to oil paints and are incredibly versatile. They dry very quickly, don't smell, have fantastic rich colours, and can be used in a variety of ways. They do dry a shade darker, so you have to account for this when painting. Brushes and palettes can be cleaned with water.
