When you sign up for the acrylic painting course you will begin to receive emails once a week, a bit like getting a magazine. Each email links to a painting lesson, where you will find
an audio introduction to the lesson
pages of clear instructions to print off and keep
video clips to show you exactly how it’s done
Just listen to the audio, print off the pages, watch the video and follow along. Each lesson builds on the one before, so you grow in confidence as you go along, and you will soon be amazed at how fast you are learning.
The important thing is to actually have a go at the projects. The course is very practical and you will learn by doing.

what materials and equipment will I need?
Don’t worry, you won’t need to buy lots and lots of stuff. I’ve tried to keep to a minimum amount of materials. There’s a complete list with Part 1 of the course, but here below are the basics that will see you through most of the course.
Paints: you will need just 10 tubes of colour:
two reds: cadmium red and alizarin crimson
two blues: French ultramarine and cerulean blue
two yellows: cadmium yellow medium and lemon yellow
two earth colours: yellow ochre and burnt sienna
also titanium white and mars black
Brushes: You will need two types of brush - bristle brushes made from hog’s hair, and also soft synthetic hair brushes. More details in Part 1.
Palette knives : cheap plastic ones are fine
paper, canvas or wood to paint onto - the choice is yours!

Gesso primer - useful for priming canvas or boards
